I took three sheets of vinyl: pink, green, and navy, mirorred the text, cut them with my Silhouette Portrait, then transferred the wording on to the back of the boards. Clean eating doesn’t mean you can never eat things your kids love like pizza and spaghetti. We just started gluten and dairy free this morning as well as seriously reducing the amount of refined sugars we’re taking in.
Pull those dusty cookbooks off the shelf a couple times a week and pick out a variety of recipes that you think you and your family will enjoy (I usually choose three to four at a time so that my grocery shopping trip covers four to five days). Mostly, I eat simple meals for breakfast (a green juice or smoothie, avo toast, oatmeal with berries, etc.) and leftovers for lunch. And with some super colorful cutting boards you'll be ready to start chopping and dicing your way to a better life.
My husband and I both eat out a lot because we get off work late, and it is only the 2 of us. Many stuck with the plans each and every week and I received reports of weight loss, improved blood sugar profiles, and healing on all levels.
Additionally, please refrain from adapting recipes without properly linking back to the original recipe, and keep in mind that simple substitutions do not constitute an adapted or original recipe. Not to mention, it just feels so darn good when you're feeding yourself and your family (if you're cooking for more than one) home-cooked whole foods and sending them off with super-fuel leftovers the next morning. A simple Google search for something like, "healthy vegan dinner recipes" will come up with more delicious options than you could ever imagine. Next, you can hot glue a couple of magnets to the back so these babies can take home on the side of the fridge.


And for those of you interested in joining our Silhouette group send a shout out to Lauren here. The last time we did it we were super strict right off the bat and I think it made it tough, I like the idea of starting slow.
I like the idea of having your kids pick things at the grocery store so they will be excited to eat them. When you begin planning your meals ahead of time, shopping with a handy list, and cooking with the future in mind, your whole life shifts (mine sure did!). Cook a couple meals on Saturday or Sunday and you'll have a couple weeknight dinners taken care of! I try to stick to it, but I’m not the best at sticking to anything when it comes to food. Better time management and prepping skills will help you stay on track and turn your "what-the-hell-do-I-make-for-breakfast-lunch-and-dinner?" stress levels way down. That's another awesome part of meal planning and cooking regularly: Your kitchen will soon be well stocked and your grocery bills will shrink. But remember to read the labels, even if it's in the safe zone it very easily could be filled with no-nos.
The other four to five nights, I cook -- whether it's a quick 20-minute meal like my Penne a la Vodka or a more involved recipe from one of my beloved cookbooks.
Maybe you need to take that chili out of the freezer so that it's defrosted just in time for dinner. And hey, if all else fails and you do end up purchasing and eating something that's pretty clean but not 100%, to me that's better than eating dirty.
In the interest of not wearing myself out, I plan accordingly, probably cooking every other night -- rarely more than two nights in a row. Throw in a new recipe each week to keep you and your family excited about coming to the dinner table.
