Yes it was God’s free gift of grace that saved me, not by any effort of mine, except to come to Him that called me, because the Holy Spirits pull on me was overwhelming and efficacious, yet it seems we have to work at striving for our holiness, God calls us to put some effort into working out our salvation and walk worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You see for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure Philippians 2:13.
He has given us this grace and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us, now we need to work it out in our daily lives striving to be holy like Him… but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior 1 Peter 1:15.
We work out our salvation which leads to our holiness because we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them’ Ephesians 2:10. Write it down: It seems straightforward, but something as simple as adding your workout schedule to your calendar or keeping a Post-it note on your mirror can help hold you accountable to the plan you've set in place. This makes such a big difference — and is a major reason I've never skipped out on a SoulCycle class or a prebooked Saturday-morning yoga session.
Scheduling workouts in advance will help you stick to a game plan while still balancing your workload and social calendar.
