This is a great back exercise particularly for the mid-section muscles with the rhomboids being your prime mover.


What I love about this exercise is that it’s a simple body weight exercise that you can do at home.
The following video gives a good demonstration of the exercise performed on a squat rack (Smith machine will be more stable). Finally you will need someone else to place the plate weight directly onto your chest before starting the exercise.
Finally once again you will need someone to place the plate weight flat onto your chest before starting the exercise.
Do not allow your arms to fully lockout before starting the next rep as this will maintain pressure on the back muscles and increase the overall benefits of the exercise.


This technique will help maintain pressure on the muscles being used and increase the overall benefits of the exercise.
