Remote Monitoring of Projects

Within Clarity, the Clarity Monitoring Service (which runs on the Clarity Host machine) is responsible for monitoring projects - including scanning and caching the models that exist within projects. The models that you see on the Project Home and Task Target pages are retrieved from that cache.

However - there can be exceptional/extraordinary cases where a given Clarity project cannot be monitored from the Clarity Host Machine, including:

To address these extraordinary cases, IMAGINiT has developed the Clarity Remote Monitoring Service. It is software that can be requested from the IMAGINiT support department, and deployed at one or more remote locations, running on whatever Windows environment that it must be run on - either as a Windows Service or as an interactive application.

The Remote Monitoring Application can set up new projects, and mark them as "Remotely Monitored" - so that the host will not attempt to monitor them.
