Usage

View/Sheet Set To Print

The name of a preexisting View or View/Sheet Set in Revit to export. To specify views dynamically, there are several [Keywords] available to use:

  • [ALLSHEETS]: All sheets in the model

  • [3D]: A default 3D view

You can also specify a dynamic set of sheets with View Expressions.

For more information, see ViewSet Keywords.

Output Type

  •  Zip File: Create a zip file containing all DWG's, PCP and other files.

  • Individual DWG File(s): Keep the files separate.

Zip Filename

The name of the zip file, if a Zip file was chosen. The default is [Document]-[date].zip.
There are several [Keywords] available:

  • [Document]: Name of Revit model

  • [Date]: The current date

  • [FullDate]: The current date and time

For more information on keywords, see Filename Keywords.

DWFx Filename

The resulting DWF(x) filename. Use .DWF extension to create a legacy DWF type file.  The default is [Document].dwfx. There are several [Keywords] available:

  • [Document]: Name of Revit model

  • [Date]: The current date

  • [FullDate]: The current date and time

For more information on keywords, see Filename Keywords.

Error on Missing Links

If any Revit links are unresolved, make the task return an Error status, rather than potentially print a PDF with missing graphics.

Export Individually

  • Yes:  The views/sheets are exported one-at-a-time from Revit, and the naming convention of the files can include all view/sheet parameters available in the ViewSet Keywords.

Split Task The task does have the capability to split into sub-tasks if there are many sheets to export. See below.

Merge Views

  • Yes: Create a  consolidated DWG be created.

  • No: Create separate DWG files be created for each viewport/link. (This corresponds to the Export Views on Sheets and Links as Xrefs option in Revit).

DWG Settings Name

Name of a saved set of DWG Export settings. If not, the remaining settings will be used as in-session settings for export.

Layer Mapping

  • Predefined mapping standard: AIA, CP83, BS1192, ISO13567

  • Full path to an external layer mapping file.

Linetype Scale

  • Paperspace (PLTSCALE=1)

  • Modelspace (PLTSCALE=0)

  • Scaled Linetype Definitions

Include View/Sheet Metadata File

For each view exported, extract the Revit parameters for the view/sheet and project information into XML format. This data can be used with specific post task actions to push the metadata into document management systems, such as ProjectWise.

Remove PCP Output Files

The DWG export generates both DWG files as well as PCP (Plotter Control files). If these files are not required, you can have the task remove them after the export.

Task Splitting Options and Limitations

Task Splitting is possible within the DWG task. Depending on the number of views/sheets being exported, you can turn on the option to split the task into sub-tasks, with different batches being sent to separate sub-tasks.

However, there are specific limitations around the cases where we support Task Splitting with DWGs today. These include:
