Space Programming: Creating Spaces
One of the things that the Clarity Client can do for space program is
to create spaces that have not yet been added from the Space Program.
The Space Program has the full list of room requirements
for the project - the Create tool will determine which requirements have
not been fully met, and will offer to create some or all of the spaces
to meet those requirements. Clarity can create:
- Generic Models
- Masses
- Areas
- Unplaced Rooms
Clarity determines what is missing based on looking at the existing
elements, and specifically the RequirementId parameter on the element.
Clarity will determine which requirements still need to be created
based on that.
- For Generic Models/Masses, you'll need to select the Family and
Family Type to place.
- Depending on how you've configured your parameter mapping,
you may be able to pick "(Autoselect)" for the type,
if you have a parameter mapping that sets the type.
- For Areas, you must be in an Area Plan to place areas. Pick a shape
(we will create the area with area boundary curves)
- For Rooms, there's nothing to configure.
The elements will be created. If the requirements were assigned to a
particular level in the program, the application will attempt to place
the spaces on the corresponding Revit level.
