Data Sheets are used as a single directional way to generate and view your deliverables. To use them, you require permissions from the project manager. You can edit this information in Clarity (requires Web Editing permissions) and later review, approve, or reject these changes in Revit (requires Change Request Editor permissions). You can then see and track the history of all edits, and review them at any time using the Change Request Log.
Note: The data used in the datasheet is generated by the RevitDBExport task on the specific Project. If the task is not run, there will not be any data to display.
A set of sample datasheets are provided for reference, which can be edited to match your requirements. The datasheet is an HTML template file, with special tokens that are either replaced by data from or related to the selected Revit element. These templates can be reused and copied between Projects using the Copy From command.
You can have one or more datasheets for each kind of Revit element (i.e. A basis of design view of the room for early signoff and a final room for documentation, which might have more detailed information).
The Data Sheet for Rooms opens, showing graphical information such as the room snapshot, parameter data, keyplan and related equipment, furniture, etc. Note each of the Data Sheets and the type of information displayed, and explore the hyperlinks from the Furniture and Equipment with the Rooms.
Project Administrators and Project Coordinators can customize the look and overall display of the Data Sheets. With Web Editing permissions enabled, you can edit the actual parameter information, which gets synchronized back to the Revit server.
Note: You can only edit the data from a Data Sheet by entering the required information along with a note on the change request that is getting issued.
