Clarity supports a variety of PDF printer drivers that create PDF files, as part of task automation. These include:
The Task Tray Options page enables you to set the default primary PDF driver that Clarity will use. This PDF driver is also used to determine the available paper sizes in the PDF task.
Note: Due to registry restrictions, for all drivers EXCEPT PDF-XChange, only one PDF job for a particular driver can be processed simultaneously. If you have multiple PDF drivers installed, you can set up your task server to launch multiple copies of Revit, and to vary the PDF drivers used (in order to achieve simultaneous printing).
For more information on multiple server processes, see Running Multiple Task Servers
Clarity includes a licensed copy of the PDF-XChange Standard PDF Driver - however, it is ONLY available to use with Clarity/Revit. There will be a driver that shows up as a regular PDF Printer driver as well - but using this from any other application manually will result in a PDF with a watermark.
Within PDF-Xchange, it is possible to have different "profiles" - saved settings. You can access these profiles by going to the PDF-Xchange driver, and clicking the "Manage" button:
Within the manage dialog, you can click the Printing Preferences to
access the profile settings for PDF-Xchange:
Within the Clarity Task Tray, you can choose the profile that you would
like to use with PDF-Xchange for the printer driver.
