Long before Omega arrived in Shanghai, Shanghai found Omega!
In 1953, Brother Norman Yu, a native of Shanghai, China, was initiated into Omega Psi Phi Fraternity through Nu Chapter while he was enrolled at Penn State. He lived nine years in his homeland, receiving four years of grade (public) school education while there. In 1941, prior to Pearl Harbor, his family came to the United States for a one-year stay that turned into twelve years.
“I admire and respect the ideals and standards in which Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was founded and hope that I may do my part, now and in the future, in upholding its principles and aspirations.” — Norman Yu
