Informant: Terrorists Warned Of WTC Collapse

A self-proclaimed former conman who became an informant for the FBI talked to
Eyewitness News 25 Sunday about what could have been done to prevent the Sept.
11 attacks.
Randy Glass, who lives in Palm Beach County after years of reportedly ducking
the law, turned his skills around for a 2 1/2-year investigation into illegal
arms dealings.
Undercover, Glass said he dealt with high-ranking Egyptian official Shirin Shawky
and men who were later arrested for money laundering.
"They definitely hate Americans," Glass said. "They want to destroy
our very way of life. They've said that to me and there is no question that
was their intention with these weapons."
Glass said one meeting in 1999 with Shawky, arms broker Mohammed Malik and Diaa
Mohsen involved talk to the World Trade Center.
"As we were leaving the restaurant, we're outside and (one of the terrorists)
looks up at the World Trade Center and points and says, 'Those towers are coming
down,'" Glass said.
When the towers actually did come down, Glass said he almost fell to his knees.
"The complaints were ordered sanitized by the highest levels of government,"
Glass said.
The complaints were sealed, but Glass pointed out that his sentencing document
June 15 listed threats against the World Trade Center and Americans. The towers
came down three months later.
"Wouldn't you think that there should have been a wire tap on Diaa's phone
and Malik's phone?" Glass said.
Glass also allowed Eyewitness News 25 to listen to dozens of undercover audio
tapes, which could not be rebroadcast. The tapes contained phone calls to alleged
terrorists who tried to broker arms deals.
